The Green Party leader, Natalie Bennett, was recently interviewed by Rotherham Green Party election candidates.
Rotherham Green Party will be standing candidates in 2/3rds of Rotherham’s 21 Council Wards on Thursday 5 May 2016. We will be giving more people than ever before the chance to vote Green - many of them for the first time.
Rotherham needs a challenge to the ‘one Party state’ which has been in charge in Rotherham for over 30 years. This is a concern Green Party leader Natalie Bennett voiced in her interview and we have worked hard to rise to the challenge.
Each voter has 3 votes in these all-out elections so we are hoping to persuade sufficient voters to give us at least one of those votes so that we can achieve representation on the council for the first time.
We recognise that much of the work of Local Councillors is at the grassroots making sure local people’s day to day interests are being cared for and that is always a Green Councillor’s first priority.
