Now is the time to make Green voices heard! However, unlike the bigger parties, we don’t have millionaire donors or vast sums of money from trade unions. So, to make our voices heard, we need to raise money through generous donations from lovely people like you.
It costs £500 per candidate to stand in the General Election.
We have 3 constituencies: Rotherham, Rother Valley, and Rawmarsh and Consibrough,(formerly Wentworth and Dearne)
To give YOU the option to vote, we need to raise £1500 to get our Green Party candidates on the ballot paper.
Simply getting our candidates on the ballot papers is the first step. We want to make sure that enough people as possible have the opportunity to vote for a Green candidate. Raising £1500 will give everyone in Rotherham Borough a Green Candidate to vote for.
The £500 deposit also gives each candidate the opportunity to have an election leaflet delivered free to every address in the constituency (reaching over 75,000 people in each constituency), further spreading the Green message. However the printing costs of these leaflets runs to nearly one thousand pounds each, meaning we would need to raise three times the £1500 deposit money to get our message across to every voter in the Borough.
Having the option to vote Green empowers people to have a genuine choice and makes sure people’s votes are not taken for granted.

The local elections in May showed a dramatic increase in the Green vote.
In the Rotherham constituency, the votes per candidate for the main parties put the Green party in second place.
